The fourth installment of my “Pulled off my shelves” series (doggedly hosted by lemonhound) is “Besides, it’s always other people who die.“
No press is proud to announce the publication of Smash Swizzle Fizz by Natalie Simpson.
Smash Swizzle Fizz is composed entirely of the names of mixed drinks, creating a swirling delirious concoction of unanchored proper names.

The third installment of my “Pulled off my shelves” series (houndishly hosted by lemonhound) is “There are some punctuations that are interesting and some punctuations that are not.”
No press is proud to announce the publication of Directions by Robert Fitterman and Steve Giasson.
For Les Figues Press‘ fundraising auction, Fitterman offered something called “Not A Thing;” an offer to collaborate on a conceptual text. Giasson won the bid and together they came up with a text titled Directions where they chart out the various ways to get from Fitterman’s apartment to Giasson’s … car, ship, plan, bicycle and more.
Published in an edition of 60 handbound copies (30 of which are for sale), each copy has handcut BFK Rives covers. Directions is available for $8 (shipping included). To order, please contact derek beaulieu.
The second of my “Pulled off my shelves” series (lovingly hosted by lemonhound) is a discussion of bill bissett’s seminal book RUSH: what fuckan theory.
Lemonhound has been kind enough to host my new series of reviews on her blog.
“Pulled from my shelves” will be a sort of “from the vault” series in which i discuss books which are not particularly “new.” I’ve begun with a review of Alison Turnbull’s Spring Snow – A Translation.
Christian Bok has nominated me as part of The Calgary Herald‘s search for new “Mavericks” in Alberta. The story is here and here.
My publisher, talonbooks has also addressed the article.
If you have any comments or thoughts please let the Herald know, and nominate other people you think are Calgarian Mavericks.
Andrew Topel’s Renegade: an on-line journal of visual poetry has now included 5 of my visual poems.
