Biographies : 

Canada’s premier concrete poetry, Derek Beaulieu is the author/editor of twenty-seven collections of poetry, prose, and criticism. His most recent book is Do It Wrong: How to be a Poet in the 21st Century and he is also author a, A Novel (Jean Boîte Editions, 2017). Beaulieu received the Queen Elizabeth II Platinum Jubilee Medal for his dedication to Canadian literature and the Robert Kroetsch Award for excellence in innovative pedagogy and teaching practice. He is the only graduate from the University of Calgary’s Department of English to receive the Faculty of Arts ‘Celebrated Alumni Award’ and the only graduate in creative writing to receive Roehampton University’s Chancellor’s Alumni Award. Beaulieu is the Director of Literary Arts at Banff Centre for Arts and Creativity, dedicated to the creation of community-based studio space for international authors across genre.  

Isabelle Garron est poète, critique, traductrice (parfois) de l’anglais et professeure à l’Institut Polytechnique de Paris. Elle publie ses premiers livres de poèmes aux Cahiers de la Seine entre 2000 et 2002, puis une trilogie dans la collection Poésie-Flammarion, Face devant contre (2002), Qu’il faille (2007), Corps fut (2011). Dernièrement elle a publié Bras vif (Flammarion 2018) et Le poème tangent, une geste (Flammarion 2026), qui marque un nouvel engagement dans son écriture poétique traversée par une quête de l’effacement. Isabelle Garron questionne la forme du poème en tant qu’objet et expérience du langage mais aussi dans son rapport aux arts visuels. Tout d’abord avec l’œuvre de Jacques Dupin, puis avec la réédition à l’identique de la Lucarne ovale (1916) de Pierre Reverdy au THTY (2000). Elle a également été critique pour la revue Action Poétique et pour l’émission de Jean Daive Peinture Fraîche. Avec Yves di Manno, elle a co-dirigé le volume anthologique Un nouveau Monde, Poésies en France (1960-2010) (Flammarion 2017). Ses livres ont été traduits : Face Before Against (tr. Sarah Riggs, Litmus Press, 2008) et Body Was (tr. Elena Riveira, Litums Press, 2021). Avec Tracy Grinnell, elle a traduit Way de Leslie Scalapino (Corti 2020). Elle prépare actuellement un essai de poïétique, Le temps de la prose, à paraitre à la fin de cette année aux éditions Hermann, dans la collection recherche-création.
 
Alan Gilbert is the author of four books of poetry, including the ongoing epic poem, The Everyday Life of Design, along with The Treatment of Monuments and Late in the Antenna Fields. He is also the author of a collection of essays, articles, and reviews entitled Another Future: Poetry and Art in a Postmodern Twilight. His poems and writings on poetry and art have appeared in a wide range of journals, magazines, and websites. He is the website editor for BOMB Magazine and Adjunct Associate Professor in the Columbia University MFA Writing Program.  

Karla Kelsey is the author of five books of poetry, most recently On Certainty; Of Sphere, a book-length essay; and the poet’s novel, Transcendental Factory: For Mina Loy. She is also the editor of Lost Writings: Two Novels by Mina Loy, published by Yale University Press. Recent writing can be found in Conjunctions, Denver Quarterly, and Annulet. The recipient of a Fulbright Fellowship, Karla has taught in Budapest and is currently on faculty of Susquehanna University.
